If you have a bad credit history, you better start to settle your previous loans so that it will not affect your plans of taking out any loan in the future.

With secured loans, you will have to place any property owned by you like your house, your car or any other valuable assets which is of equal value or cost higher than your loan amount. This will put less risk on the part of your bank and they will most likely to extend to you the loan. They can also give you a low interest rate and long term payment option because you have pledged to them your property to back your loan in case you default. I’m a firm believer in only investing in an area where I have a great deal of knowledge already. Let’s face it, the stock market is hard enough without diving into an area that you’re unfamiliar with. I love technology and surfing the web but I have no knowledge of tech stocks and so I would never try to invest in them. How would I know how the tech market is looking and how to identify a market leader. You have to take into account the decisions made at the top level too and for this industry I wouldn’t be able to gauge what a good decision is and what a bad decision. If there’s any confusion over the industry I just stay well clear.


So with that advice, what are the hot shares to buy in 2010? Well, I’d always recommend sticking with a formula such as value investing to determine what the best stocks are for any given year. That way, things that have happened in the past few days won’t affect what is a good investment. You skip all the hustle and bustle of watching the daily statistics on CNBC or whatever your favorite financial channel is. You identify solid investments and stick with them for a lengthy period of time. Perhaps until you retire and decide to cash in your chips so to speak? A hot share that you identified in 2009 could still be a hot stock pick in 2010 if you check it out with the same formula and techniques you did the previous year.

There are lots of ways to identify what the hot stocks are for 2010 but I prefer to stick to value investing techniques. This won’t work if you’re interested in day trading strategies but if you’re in it for the long haul like me then I’d recommend reading about Warren Buffett and the approach he takes to investing.  Think about the differences between investing and speculating, the diferences between saving and gambling.  Take into consideration how much money you have spare, after your needs, to invest, and how long your time frame is for investment.
